Tagline: He is back…

Plot Outline: After a long visit to the lost remains of the planet Krypton, the Man of Steel returns to earth to become the peoples savior once again and reclaim the love of Lois Lane.

My Rating: 9.0 [rate 4.5]

Cast: Brandon Routh, Kate Bosworth, Kevin Spacey, James Marsden, Parker Posey, Frank Langella, Sam Huntington, Eva Marie Saint, Marlon Brando, Kal Penn, David Fabrizio, Tristan Lake Leabu, Ian Roberts, Vincent Stone, Jack Larson

You say that the world doesn’t need a savior, but every day I hear the world cry for one.

As the world was getting used to the idea that of living without Superman, he is back. And just in time to save them once again.

I ought to admit that after seeing the trailer I was a bit skeptical because I thought that they made the “mistake” to show the the best scene on the trailer, like they did so many countless times before, maybe not for Superman but it’s something they do on many films.

After watching the film, I realised that the scene shown in the trailer was only a tease. A small introduction to what you will see in the new Superman movie.

If you are like me then most probably you have seen all the other Superman movies than filmed over the past. In comparison this film has a plethora of special effects.

So if you want to see Superman do some moves that he wasn’t able to do before due to technology limitations then this is the film for you. Even if you don’t it’s still a film worth watching.

The Final Cut

Directed by: Omar Naim

Genres: Sci-Fi, Thriller

Tagline: Every moment of your life recorded. Would you live it differently?

Plot Outline: Set in a world with memory implants, Robin Williams plays a cutter, someone with the power of final edit over people’s recorded histories. His latest assignment is one that puts him in danger.

My Rating: 8.0 [rate 4]

Cast: Robin Williams, Mira Sorvino, James Caviezel, Mimi Kuzyk, Stephanie Romanov, Thom Bishops, Genevieve Buechner, Brendan Fletcher, Vincent Gale, Casey Dubois, Liam Ranger, Joely Collins, Michael St. John Smith, Christopher Britton, Wanda Cannon

Imagine living a life knowing that someone can watch it later. Some will be the judge and the jury in deciding what was important in your life and what not. In a few words someone will decide how will people remember you, and will create a movie out of it.

I think that when someone dies different people in that persons life remember him in a different way. Showing a movie out of it somehow spoils this memory.

Overall I think it’s a very nice movie and it’s worth watching.

X-Men: The Last Stand

Directed by: Brett Ratner

Genres: Action, Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Thriller

Tagline: Take a Stand

Plot Outline: When a cure is found to treat mutations, lines are drawn amongst the X-Men, led by Professor Charles Xavier (Stewart), and the Brotherhood, a band of powerful mutants organized under Xavier’s former ally, Magneto (McKellen).

My Rating: 9.0 [rate 4.5]

Cast: Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry, Ian McKellen, Famke Janssen, Anna Paquin, Kelsey Grammer, Rebecca Romijn, James Marsden, Shawn Ashmore, Aaron Stanford, Vinnie Jones, Patrick Stewart, Ben Foster, Dania Ramirez, Ellen Page

What is there to say I was waiting for this movie for too long. I am not at all happy with it, but I am giving it a 9/10 because it’s a great movie and has very nice special effects. Anyway I’ve read a lot of X-Men comics, which by the way don’t come cheap, and I am sorry if I am going to spoil it for some people but the Professor Charles Xavier doesn’t die and neither does Scott. I don’t if what they are trying to do, but I thought there were sticking to the storyline already been set by the comic books.

Anyway it’s a great film but it’s not the comic books coming to life on the big screen it’s a different storyline which is welcome by me, but I don’t know if everybody, especially X-Men fanatics will do the same.

Aeon Flux

Tagline: The Perfect World Meets The Perfect Assassin

Plot Outline: Aeon Flux is a mysterious assassin working for the Monicans, a group of rebels trying to overthrow the government. When she is a sent on a mission to kill the “chairman” a whole new mystery is found.

My Rating: 7.0 [rate 3.5]

It’s a nice film, I am only giving it a 7/10 because it could be better if it had a bigger budget. I think that a lot of people even before they’ve seen the film are considering some things that we see in the movie. That’s all I have to say, if you have time I think it’s a good film to watch.

Scary Movie 4

Tagline: They’re coming. We need your support.

Plot Outline: Cindy finds out the house she lives in is haunted by a little boy and goes on a quest to find out who killed him and why. Also, Alien “Tr-iPods” are invading the world and she has to uncover the secret in order to stop them.

Cast: Anthony Anderson, Craig Bierko, Chingy, Dr. Phillip C. McGraw, Carmen Electra, Chris Elliott, Anna Faris, Regina Hall, Kevin Hart, Holly Madison, Bridget Marquardt, Kendra Wilkinson, Cloris Leachman, James Earl Jones, Michael Madsen

What is there to say, it’s Scary Movie number 4. If you’ve seen the horror movies that it’s making fun of then you ought to see this as well. I haven’t seen all of them, for example I haven’t seen Saw, but I still loved it. I would like to see it again, but I will wait when it comes to DVD.

Flightplan

Directed by: Robert Schwentke

Genres: Drama, Mystery, Thriller

Tagline: If Someone Took Everything You Live For… How Far Would You Go To Get It Back?

Plot Outline: A claustrophobic, Hitchcockian thriller. A bereaved woman and her daughter are flying home from Berlin to America. At 30,000 feet the child vanishes and nobody admits she was ever on that plane.

My Rating: 7.0 [rate 3.5]

Cast: Jodie Foster, Peter Sarsgaard, Kate Beahan, Erika Christensen, Jana Kolesarova, Marlene Lawston, Sean Bean, Greta Scacchi, Michael Irby, Assaf Cohen, Christian Berkel, Shane Edelman, Mary Gallagher, Haley Ramm, Forrest Landis

A nice film with enough suspense to keep you to your chair until the end. I am not saying that it’s perfect, but I am not going to say that it’s not. Imagine flying home with your children, relatives, friends and suddenly you realize that someone is missing. I personally wouldn’t want to go through it. I think the one thing that made this hole movie even more interesting is that she knew the plane inside and out.

The moral story of the movie? Personally I would say that don’t mess with people on a plane since you never know what they do for a living. ;)
